Life is strange. First I felt violated. Then I felt relieved. Now I’m just over it and ready to move on. Welcome back to Got My Reservations: The Retirement Sequel.
I have spent a lot of time in the last couple of months with friends who have much more knowledge than I do about cameras. I bought the Canon EOS Rebel T3i, and I’m thrilled with the results so far. Ten minutes out of the box and I had 24 photos that were better than anything I’ve taken recently — although I’ve done some pretty good work with my iPhone in Instagram. 🙂
Here’s today’s teaser.
The next step is to figure out which totally cute camera bag I’m going to buy from Judy at Snugglens.
Thanks for this info on your new camera — congratulations! I’ve been doing a little investigating into an SLR but was very confused by the options. The Rebel is good? Workable for a camera amateur?
So far this camera is wonderfully intuitive. I just went to the local camera store and got a bag and a UV filter. I took a lot of photos of faces today; I’m interested to see how the camera fares with people rather than flowers!
Have fun with your new toy. Your first shot is a winner and I look forward to many more. I love my Nikon CoolPix basic model which I received from my husband as a Christmas present a couple of years ago (after strong hints from me). It takes amazing pictures with little effort.
Keep up the good work–I enjoy your blog.
Thanks! I’m having fun watching your flower photos, too.
Looking forward to more photos!
I need to take a photo of a glorious quilt from your collection.
Oooh…cool. New toy!!!
Oh, yeah, baby. Books and cameras are going to keep me busy in retirement!
